Swing for the Green Recycling Event — E-Waste Recycling, March 6th-8th, 2009

Toshiba will host a three-day “Swing for the Green” recycling event during the Toshiba Classic in Newport Beach, Calif. In exchange for e-Waste, recyclers will receive two FREE tickets* to the Toshiba Classic. That’s a great opportunity to see some of the best golfers in the world!

Recyclers are invited to drop off the following:

Computer Monitors, Equipment and Televisions
Computer monitors (CRTs, Plasma and LCD displays)
Laptop and notebook computers
Televisions (standalone, console, wide-screen, projection-screen, CRT, Plasma, LCD)
Computer systems (CPU units) (Servers, Racks, Switches)
Computer peripherals (printers, scanners, plotters, copiers)
Computer accessories (keyboards, mice, speakers, cords, cables)
External disk memory and hard disk drives (confidential data destruction available)
Circuit boards and electronic components/chips

Desk and floor lamps
Small kitchen appliances (toaster, toaster oven, blender, mixer, etc.)
Small handheld power tools
Small personal cosmetic appliances (portable hair dryers, shavers, curling irons, etc.)
Vacuum cleaners

e-Waste may be dropped off at two different locations during the tournament. The main recycling drop-off area will be at the Newport Dunes off-site parking lot. Additionally, patrons may choose to bring small items such as cell phones and MP3 players to the main entrance of the Toshiba Golf Classic. Signs will be posted directing patrons to the parking and recycling areas.
