"So far an excellent performer! My first experience with Win 7 on a netbook and I am extremely pleased. Everything installed without a hitch, and the laptop/Win 7 combo found my network devices like a champ. Lightweight and thin, but heavy on performance! The only thing that bugs me, being a neat-freak, are the fingerprints on the glossy surface. Hard to keep clean. But that amazing battery life makes up for it, i.e. 8-9 hours of normal use off the AC mains"

"I love the size, portability and ease of use. The exterior finish needs to be improved because it shows every finger mark. The size of the icons that pop up from the control in the lower right (wifi conection, etc) are too small and difficult to use. There were no instructions on how to make the icons on the left of the screen smaller. I especially like the long battery life."

"The screen is larger than 10" so it is not classified as a netbook. Lots of people think of it still as a netbook but in reality it is faster and has more hard drive space than my full sized laptop I bought a year ago. With the purchase of a external DVD drive, you can install all standard programs. There is nothing I am not able to do on this small package that I used a normal PC or Laptop for prior. The only disadvantage is the shrunken keyboard. If you type a lot by feel, then this is tough with this keyboard. The battery life and the compact size of the unit make perfect for travel and daily freedom without having to worry about a "plug." I generally get about 5-6 hours running normal applications. Your "average" laptop is about 2-3 hours. When you factor in the included features vs trying to get a lower model or netbook and try to upgrade it is not cost effective. I am happy with the purchase and this is my third laptop from Toshiba."

"Great screen and graphics. Toshiba did a nice job partitioning the drive with a restore feature and the ability to make a separate image using disk creator. It would have been nice if an external HD could be used instead of a flash drive. The touch pad takes some getting used to and is a bit finnicky, you can make things happen that you didn't intend. The scroll feature is adequate. The sound is meager at best, but works for a notebook platform. Overall, you get good value for what you pay."

"This is a nice little netbook. I wanted something mobile and web centric. It has nice web camera and after installing the audio driver fix, the audio quality is awesome. I wish it was little cheaper and had the Atom processor vs Celeron it currently has. Built in HDMI input, and SD card reader are nice touches."

"I chose the Toshiba since it used a Celeron processor instead of an Atom processor and that it came with 2GB RAM (upgradable to 4 GB). My only real criticism of the computer is that the face ID function requires too much light for it to be practical in a home environment."

"Bought this unit about 3 weeks ago. Using it mostly for email and internet. Serves those purposes very well. Text kind of small for me but the wife says its OK and she uses it. Very portable, carry it all over the house. Its fast enough and easy set up. Only problems are that volume is extremely low and when running on battery and we do a restart, it shuts down but you have to push the power button to turn it back on. I called Toshiba about both things...they were very nice but couldn't offer a solution for either problem. For the volume, they said the circuit was on the mother board so there was no way to make it louder, if volume was too high it would burn out other components. As far as the restart problem when running on battery, they said it was a Windows 7 bug they would report to Microsoft. If you can put up with those clitches, its a good portable machine. I liked that it comes with 2 gb of memory that you can upgrade to 4 gb."

"I am a little disappointed after purchasing this laptop. It is terribly slow running Windows 7. The graphics drag across the screen. It does not come with any recover media and without a CD to burn one right away that is an issue. The buttons on the mouse pad are very difficult to use. The power supply is large for a small notebook and the USB ports are in the very front and items plugged into them tend to get in the way. The good part is the screen clarity is excellent! RObert"

"I bought the Toshiba Satellite T115-S1105 because it is as portable as a netbook, but (almost) as fast and powerful as a laptop, with screen size in between and battery life much better than either catagory. Thanks to HDMI output it is now connected to a good monitor with good speakers and has also replaced my desktop. This laptop is very portable with excellent battery life. Excellent screen resolution, reasonable hard disk capacity and storage. Fast DDR3 memory in adequate amounts. The Pentium SU2700 could be faster, but is acceptable for net surfing, email, letter and report writing, average sized spreadsheets and powerpoints. I repartioned the hard disk and placed the Linux distro Ubuntu 9.04 as primary boot; now it runs faster and I prefer Ubuntu to Microsoft."

"So far the touchpad is horrible. It hardly reacts, or will only move vertical, or horizontal, or will resize the browser font size, or won't move at all, or will drag 'n drop things... The sound seems to be very low. Everything set to full through Windows 7 sound control. I'm trying to figure out if there's another sound control somewhere that's still set to low. The "FN"key + the vol up and down keys (3 and 4) are not working. Personally I don't like the high glare case. Attracts a lot of dust. Plus: good spacey keyboard, nice screen, pretty fast boot-up and shut-down. NB I´ve been using an Asus EEE pc 701 (Linux) since jan ´08."

"I got this laptop last week, and when i got it i wiped it and put windows 7Ultimate on it,.. and went to Toshiba's driver site which is perfect and to the point. Installed all the drivers that were on there originally, The Facial Recognition is a nice tool. It runs pretty quick (cause the 3GB of RAM),.. the only thing i disliked about getting this computer is, No CD rom drive.... (but you can easily get an External one for around 70bucks) And the speakers aren't to great, (so if you're going to be listening to music external speakers are helpful Also the battery life says 9.27 but it's really around 4 hours still okay though and the mouse was a little touchy after the install but it was fixed quickly by installing the synaptic touchpad driver that they host on the website of Toshiba support"

"I bought this laptop as a Christmas present to myself, mainly intended for school work, and iTunes. This laptop suprised me right out of the box. First, the battery hump that is shown in the pictures isn't really noticeable. When carrying the laptop, it provides a little handle, which is nice. Next, the processor is really pretty good. I just came from a Core 2 Duo laptop, and I wasn't really excited about a Pentium. The processor preforms better, I think than my old Core 2 Duo. It's fast, and generates pratically no heat. Windows 7 is a worthy replacement to XP, it's finally nice to see that Microsoft pulled things together. Paired with the DDR3 RAM, this little laptop is quite a preformer. The wireless N only future-proofs this machine, and the HDMI is a nice little touch. The only thing that I don't really like is the Nova finish. It is a FINGER PRINT MANGET! I use a micro- fiber cloth, the kind that you would use on a camera lens, which removes all marks. Keep in mind that they will be back within minutes! The keyboard is really nice, despite other reviews. It is a bit smaller, but it is really comfortable to type on. Either you like it, or you don't. The sleep and charge is a wonderful feature, and the hard drive is more that big enough. This will probably be one of my favorite laptops. Kudos, Toshiba!"

"I had been waiting for the right combination of screen size, weight, battery life and found it with the T135 S1310. A plus is the 4GB of memory. It is quick, lightweight-portable, and I believe a true laptop compared to 5-6 lb varieties available from any of the manufacturers. Not having a dvd/cd writer-reader is the best way to go as the speed of download through the internet neutralized my concern for not having one on this model. I did purchase an external one and share it with my family members on the chance occassion they would need one. (3) USB ports vs (2) on a light-weight model is a huge plus! The reviews I read will note the speakers are light which is true. Plug in your headphones and no problem. If you are searching for the best current combination of speed and true portability this is it. Buy it and don't look back!"

"I bought this laptop after trying a comparable "thin and light" model from a well know competitor. I was unimpressed with their computer (3 hrs battery life instead of the advertised 8 hrs) so I decided to try this model instead. I am so glad I made the switch. This computer is fantastic. It very light and the battery life is excellent- I get a solid 6.5 hours of battery life using the eco setting. Even at reduced brightness the screen is easy to see and doesn't strain my eyes. Based on other reviews I certainly recommend spending a bit more to get the intel 4100 processor and the 4gb of RAM (which is what I have). It makes a big difference. The only complaints I have are very minor. The glossy finish shows all the fingerprints, which is really more of an aesthetic nuisance than anything. I am also not a fan of the single rocker bar instead of two separate buttons under the track-pad and I wish they had made the "shift" button full size. Again, minor stuff. All in all I really like this computer, it is fast, light and lasts all day on a charge."

"The T135-S1310 is excellent for travelling and use as a general purpose computer for business users, students or home users. It has good computing performance, features and a reasonable size and weight. I use a Toshiba Dynadock USB Docking Station when working at my home office. By plugging in one USB cable, I have access to a DVD/CD drive  not included with the T135, a full size keyboard, a SINGLE large HD monitor, good speakers, additional USB ports and a hard-wired internet connection. Although not perfect, I am very satisfied with the overall value & cost of this configuration. Up-side: 1. The screen is larger than a netbook, but small enough that I can work on an airplane  in the middle seat in the coach section. 2. The keyboard is OK  it took a couple of hours to get use to the touch and size  no complaints. 3. The overall size and weight are excellent  a netbook is too small for me, and other notebooks are too big and heavy for in-city commuting and long-distant travel. 4. The built-in Bluetooth capabilities allow me to use a larger mouse without sticking another external device into USB ports.  skip the Best Buy model since it lacks this feature and the extra price for a Bluetooth mouse is worth it. 5. This machine is exceptionally fast for most applications; the memory is more than adequate 6. Windows 7 seems to work OK even with the usual Microsoft bugs and time spent and pain suffered mind-melding with their creative-idiosyncrasies. People, it's an operating system! 7. The battery life is fantastic, and even better if I turn down the brightness level on the monitor! 8. The monitor is excellent, and even when dimmed to the max, it is good and much easier on my eyes. Down-side: 1. Finger prints on the shiny surfaces look disgusting! People, what are you thinking! 2. The buttons on the touchpad are way too hard to click and disappointing ---- usable, but OUCH! I prefer to use the mouse whenever possible. Ive tried more than 15 laptops in stores before making purchases. 3. Do not expect to watch videos on an external HD monitor when plugged into the Toshiba Docking Station  not a huge problem for a work computer. Videos displayed on the laptop monitor really are excellent! Reliability Note: My first Toshiba is a different model that is less expensive, and too large and heavy for me. It is in the shop being serviced after about 9 months of use. I am very pleased with the responsiveness and efficiency of Toshibas call-in technicians and procedure for sending the machine to the service center. To be realistic, Ive never expected to get more than one year of useful life from laptops. Im waiting to see how well the service center handles the repair. As with any laptop, make sure you backup critical files onto a thumb drive daily, and know how to reinstall applications such as MS-Office. Overall: I am thrilled with BOTH Toshiba computers, the Dynadock -- and the price point. I am extremely disappointed that consumers are buying shiny surfaces  hopefully this fad will end soon. The fingerprints I am looking at on this machine and my iPod are foul and disgusting. I AM a real guy and ABSOLUTELY NOT neat or clean! That is all! ;)"

"i been researching for a ultra portable thin and light notebook, i've even got to the point where i tried out an HP Mini 110 Netbook..the netbook was great tho just a tad small and i found the Satellite T135 i been going back and fourth between this and Hp's Dm3 same 13inch ultra thin and light notebooks.For money value I chose this..it has a great battery life about 6.5 hrs on extensive use including videos and video chatting..bluetooth is a great feature and so was the Draft N wifi. This machine boots up quick and alot faster than my old hp mini. after updating the driver for audio i have no problem what so ever with it like all the other people out there. it sounds awesome.screen is vibrant and nice resolution with the 16:9 ratio.the keyboard like every says feels slippery but its the best keyboard ive used its the closest type to the hp mini flat style keys without going chicklet sytle..the track pad is great i havent had any problems and the mouse button is also great everyone says this is the worst but i personally love it i got used to it the first hour i used it and to me its alot more assuring to not having to worry about pressing something on accident because of the slight extra force you need to click..hdmi is another great feature and this is very light i love the black glossy finish and i love spending time wipe it with my microfiber.. overall i love this laptop and the best for me and very portable and for the money its way worth it with windows 7 home premium 4gbs of ddr3 ram and a 320gb harddrive..i recommend to everyone.."

"The compact body and light weight mean that this computer is very convenient to use. It is easily picked up with one hand. The long battery life is excellent. Some of the problems of the integral mouse seem to have been corrected since my older Toshiba, but there are still too many occasions when the cursor just jumps somewhere unexpected! I do wish the lettering on the keyboard could be brighter and bolder, it is hard to see if the ambient light is low. Back-lit keyboard would be even better. Overall good value for money and user friendly."

"The features for the money equation is quite good for the Toshiba T135-S1310. The Intel 10W dual-core processor combined with good power management yields long battery life. The 4/320Gb RAM/HDD means no worries about memory. The built-in webcam and microphone are handy for Skype. DVD drives are practically out of date so it's hardly missed, and the total package is reasonably light weight. However, the hard, super-glossy black plastic finish is incredibly annoying and makes the laptop uncomfortable to use. White gloves would be necessary to not leave a trail of fingerprints on every surface, including the keys. The keyboard is poorly designed with perfectly square keys and does not lend itself to fast strokes. Toshiba makes great laptops but overall I would not buy this particular product again due to the uncomfortable nature of the overall design."

"Got the T135-S1310 in mid Dec., guess I was just expecting more. The performance is ok but certainly nothing to write home about. Some key locations are a bit different than normal and find the mouse buttons take a bit more effort to enter than they should. Wish the keyboard had back lighting as well. All in all an OK computer but not something I'd run out and buy again especially for the price!"
