"This laptop is very nice! It was required for my vet school but still... I'm very happy with it. It is the perfect size and is pretty light. It's convenient how the screen rotates and lays flat, too. It's strange to me that the screen doesn't "latch" closed (you just push the screen down and that's it) but I'm sure it'll stay closed anyway. Overall it's awesome."

"Overall, this is a great product but a bit too expensive. The touch screen feature of the laptop needs to be improved. It is a problematic and does not have the ease of use that is seen in other touch screen devices. There are some problems with errant lines when using the inking features in PowerPoint that I have not encountered with other tablets and appears to be a Toshiba issue. In addition, one can purchase the additional battery but the tablet is set on an angle and a bit more cumbersome thus reducing some of the benefits of the mobile device -the battery life could be extended a bit.
The bubble is still a concern, although the reviews say this has been fixed in this model. There is a quick fix using a suction cup but this is still a problem in about 20% of our systems."

"A lot of features are packed into this laptop. I use it practically every day, both at school and at home.
I have had this laptop for more than 4 months now, and so far everything works great. I use Microsoft OneNote for more than 6 hours a day, so the tablet really comes in handy, especially for radiology, anatomy and histology classes.
The only complaints are that the 2 GB RAM is starting to have trouble catching up, as my OneNote archive grows by the day. Battery life seems to be suffering too. Hopefully these will be improved when I upgrade the RAM momentarily."
"I work out of doors and need tablet capabilities to use a computer-a keyboard is not an option.
My previous tablet was a rugged Xplore, unfortunately, the only part that wasn't rugged was the screen. When it broke, I found out it wasn't a warrantied part and was quoted over $1K to fix it.
Hence, my search for a new machine.....
I chose Toshiba from the positive reviews and the fact that it is almost half the price of a fully rugged machine. Also, it offered a faster processor and a larger hard drive than comparable machines.
Though I have only had the tablet for a couple of weeks, I am very happy with my purchase. The computer boots fast, has a nice display, handwriting recognition is much better( though this is running Vista instead of XP). The machine is solid, yet comfortable to work with- even in bed.
I bought the Toshiba 3-in-1 Leather Portfolio to carry my tablet. I like the design, but only wish they had made it so you could use it with the Express Port Replicator (You have to remove the computer from the Portfolio in order to access the connector).
The only other bugaboo is battery life. At 2 plus hours, it is only average. Unfortunately, the only other option is the slice battery, which does not work with the 3 in 1 Portfolio.-Better get the Auto Adaptor if you are on the road....
Oh yeah, don't forget to get the Accidental Damage Insurance. As I said earlier, a cracked screen is a real bummer and expensive to fix. The cost of the insurance policy more than pays for a repair.
I any case, I highly recommend the Portege M750."

"The Portege Tablet makes studying more efficient and cheap! It does everything I need it to and more. The tablet function is reliable (the touch screen works, the pen recognition works, and the screen rotates automatically and manually in tablet mode). The laptop never overheats and it's very quiet. The screen and the rest of the laptop hide fingerprints effectively. It is capable of connecting more devices than I know what to do with! The pen works well and is easy to get used to; it even has an eraser function like a normal pencil. I've had no trouble connecting to the internet, using the high-quality webcam, the fingerprint reader, or any of the other features. I've had the laptop for a little over a month and have yet to experience a single problem. This laptop is well designed to be functional, personal, convenient, and user-friendly. It is expensive, indeed, but well worth the investment, especially for a veterinary student!"
"I have used many laptops over the years and I won't use anything but Toshiba anymore. When my company needed tablets for our techs, I chose Toshiba M750s based on my laptop experience. Over the last ten months, I have had no issues whatsoever with any of them, even on wireless in the field. We are about to purchase another. I have never had a problem with hibernation, orientation, docking or any other hardware switching. Other laptops I have had you would need to reboot after undocking or such. I do find the battery to be a bit lacking, and the system will drain itself even in some of the power saving modes (over the course of several days). I just keep in in the docking port when not in use and that solves that. The stylus is amazing - I still don't know how it works, but it works great and we added the ability to use finger touch as well, which I consider well worth it.
We use Vista Ultimate 32 bit with Office and, again, no problems at all. I do make sure all of my drivers are up-to-date and we use Avast for anti virus. My wife and father also have Toshiba laptops and have had no problems.
If you are having an issue with a Toshiba, there is something wrong that is out of the norm."

"I spent a long time looking for a nice tablet PC and ended up choosing this model over others. The Portege M750 has a lot of nice features, like the touch screen. Once up-and-running, it runs pretty smoothly; but it sometimes does take awhile to start up. The battery life only lasts about 2 hours. The tablet isn't heavy, but it is thick. I love this computer, but it definitely needs some improvement. It is a bit expensive for not being up to par."

"This computer is really unreliable. First, it takes an extended amount of time to get up and going after opening the screen from hibernation. After it does start running, it's still really slow. I have a two year old Mac that not as powerful as this computer and it is always faster no matter what I'm trying to do on this thing. If you close the screen, every tablet function QUITS WORKING. You then have to restart the computer to make it work. I have to restart the computer 1-3 times DAILY because the scrolling function on the mouse randomly quits working for no good reason. The One Note software that often glitches and malfunctions, and you have to close the program and start all over again. I have not once been happy or completely satisfied with this product. I can't trust it to work without a problem that involves restarting the computer in order for it to do something it should do in the first place without wasting my time."
